New to heated yoga? Here’s what to expect at Yoga412 in Fox Chapel—tips on what to bring, class flow, and how to feel comfortable from day one.
Stepping into a yoga class for the first time can feel exciting—and a little intimidating. At Yoga412 in Fox Chapel, we make sure every student feels welcomed, prepared, and supported. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or simply new to our studio, here’s what you can expect when you roll out your mat with us.
1. A Warm (Literally!) Environment (80-85F)
Our classes are held in a gently heated studio, designed to help your body open more easily, support flexibility, and encourage deep detoxification. The room isn’t uncomfortably hot—it’s intentionally warm to help you find ease in your movements.
2. A Friendly Welcome
From the moment you walk in, our teachers and staff will guide you through check-in, show you where to store your belongings, and help you get settled. Feel free to arrive 10–15 minutes early if it’s your first visit.
3. What to Bring
Comfortable workout clothing you can move in
A yoga mat (we also have mats available at the studio)
A water bottle — hydration is key!
An open mind
4. Class Flow
Our classes typically begin with grounding breathwork, move through a sequence of postures that balance strength and stretch, and close with deep relaxation. You don’t need to know the poses in advance—our teachers offer guidance, modifications, and encouragement every step of the way.
5. Support for Every Level
At Yoga412, you’ll find students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether you can touch your toes or not (yet), you belong here.
6. The After-Glow
Expect to leave class feeling lighter, calmer, and more energized. Many students describe it as “a reset button for body and mind.”
